SUMMARY:Thorney Christmas Lights Switch On
DESCRIPTION:Every year\, the community gathers around the Thorney Abbey Christmas tree for a formal switch on. Carols are sung and refreshments are provided. This has become the traditional opening to the Christmas Tree Festival weekend.  \nThis year\, with covid in mind\, people will be gathering on the green and watching the switch on from there. A small brass band will be there to assist in carol singing and the childrens choir will be singing O Little Town of Bethlehem (with descant included!). \nDo come along to see the lights get switched on at Thorney Abbey. The switch on is at 6pm. Pleas wrap up warm and bring a torch!
