After just shy of 18 months where we’ve not been able to get together and sing, we finally managed to meet up this afternoon for a choir session. We had great fun, singing some recent songs, and some old classics that we’ve been doing for years. Of course, as a childrens choir, some of the old classics are new songs to a lot of our members. Still, what a wonderful sound to hear children of various ages playing games together and making music together. We’ve waiting so long to do this again, and it was just wonderful to finally be able to do it. The most heartwarming part of it though – how children of all ages interacted with each other, played with each other, chatted to each other and helped each other. There were no labels or boundaries and everyone was equal. That’s what music does. It brings all kinds of people together, and that’s why it’s the only true international language. Music is so important, and to start choir again today has been a huge step in the goal of bringing music to everybody; no boundaries.
